Dynamite:  Protector of Toddlers!

A tricolored neutered male Pembroke Welsh Corgi by the name of Dynamite went to live with a family in Florida. There were two children in the family, a school aged girl and a boy that was still a toddler. One day during the week, the mother of the children realized it was too quiet in the house, and she went looking for her toddler. He was nowhere to be found, but she made the awful discovery that the front door was wide open! The child and Dynamite, who was about 2 years old at the time, were inseperable and both were gone. The mother jumped into her car and started searching the neighborhood with no success. She ranged farther from home and finally spotted the child walking down the sidewalk with a strange man - with Dynamite walking between them! The man explained that he recognized the dog as being from somewhere in the area, as he had seen him routinely jogging with a man through his neighborhood. He further explained that he was WALKING the child and the dog to the police station, because every time he tried to touch the child, the dog tried to bite him! Now, Dynamite was fine as long as the man kept his distance from the toddler - he could talk to him, but not touch him, so his only solution was to try to get them to the police station and let THEM deal with the dog. To get where they were found, the pair had to cross a FOUR LANE HIGHWAY! A true story! Dynamite lived to the ripe old age of 14 before he went on to Corgi heaven.
